DESCRIPTION
::::
Online certification application for public accountants
and members of AICPA.
ROLE
::::
Application
design and information architecture. I was subcontracted
by Fusive.com to act as the "lead" creative
designer for the project.
OVERVIEW
::::
I
had previously worked on
a pitch proposal while with Fusive for AICPA that
contained some rough ideas for our recommendation of
redesigning their then current online assessment tool.
Few months pass by, I end up getting laid-off along
with most of my creative staff, then magically, 6 months
later, AICPA decides to use Fusive after to rebuild
the app. Ring, ring, a few phones calls later, and I'm
flying to NY to meet with the client pretending to be
an employee for the company the laid me off. Isn't life
grand? Good freelance gig overall, and a great experience.
I had to wear a lot of hats because the the business
use-cases needed to be turned into IA, and there was
no middle layer between that and the design (in terms
of a role on the team), so it ended up being all on
me.
